Selling Services
My goal is to keep worthwhile items out of the landfill or extend the life of products by the 3R’s (recycle, reuse, repurpose).
As of August 2026 most of my items are on Ebay (ID hodgepodgestuff54). In the future, this may change as my company grows and expands and I put more items on my website. I list for people who don’t have the time or inclination to list their items, but just don’t want to throw them away. I know there are times when a family member passes and there are worthwhile items that others may want or can use. I especially love it when it sparks a memory in someone’s childhood of something they had or items that people like to collect. We live in a world where there are too many things, it’s time to keep/reuse items to reduce what goes into the landfill. Another goal I have is to provide a place for others to list their items if they want to at minimal price or without the headaches of keeping track of things. This is still in idea form, but in the future I am going to make it reality.
When I list on Ebay:
I do have a contract that needs to be signed. I can mail or email you a copy of the contract. I also have an addendum is where you can list your items and set prices for what you have. There are extra fees that may be charged based on what you want to specify. Check out Ebay’s fee structure for guidance of costs. The reserve fee is really the one I specify in my contract.
Once the contract is signed, I do the following:
Research the item, determining best way to sell the item(s). Depending on the types of items you have. I like to list an item as an auction first, then list in my Ebay store. The way things have been on Ebay is random in my eyes. Some things can sit a while, but other times it will go fast. Now this may change as my business continues to grow. I will have items that will attract more and more people. Any items I sell personally, a part of the sales will go to charity. This is another goal I have to help charities that need it.
If we agree on how the item(s) is/are to be listed, I take pictures of your item(s) and edit the pictures as needed.
- Create the listing(s)
- List the auction(s)
- Answer any questions.
- Ship the item(s)
I provide clients with a spreadsheet of the items sold for the month and a check for the sales minus my commission.
My fee is 35% of auction sale price. This includes all basic Ebay/Paypal fees. There are some feature items that Ebay provides, that you may choose to do, but they will cost extra. Please see Ebays fee listing, here.
