My client has some nice Royal Doulton toby/character jugs to sell. I have many to list, so keep watching.
This listing is for a Royal Doulton character SMALL jug: Mr. Pickwick, D5839. It was issued 1948-1960. The figurine is in excellent stored condition and measures 3 1/2" H. The words "Mr. Pickwick" are incised in the mold. The box is NOT included.
ABOUT MR. PICKWICK:
Character created by writer Charles Dickens. Mr. Pickwick is a retired businessman and founder of the Pickwick Club. Pickwick along with his friends Tupman, Snodgrass, Winkle and his servant Sam Weller travel around England in search of adventure. Mr. Pickwick is of Dickens' most loved characters and his story propelled Dickens to literary stardom.
